Sixteen years ago, a friend roped me into attending a card-making class. I didn’t think I would like it. After all, who needs to make cards when you can buy them at a store or do a custom one from your computer? To my surprise, I loved it! Making cards was a creative and simple activity, something I could do while my young children were playing. (I purchased a bar-height table so they couldn’t reach up and grab things from it.) My paper-crafting hobby expanded from there.

My kids are mostly grown and I still love stamping. Now I’m an Independent Demonstrator for Stampin’ Up products. Of course I like it when customers buy my products, but I like it just as much when people attend my card-making classes and groups, so dip your toes in and try out a new hobby without having to purchase all of the startup paraphernalia.
